Corporate and Social Responsibility

At Elgiganten, we stand up for the environment and want to reduce our consumption of plastic. Therefore, since 2017, we have abolished free plastic bags in all department stores. It costs a small amount to buy plastic bags in Elgiganten. The plastic bags are made from 50% recycled PCR plastic. The profit that comes through the sale of plastic bags goes to the Elgiganten Foundation, whose main purpose is to support local associations that need extra support.

Large: 3 kr.

Recycling of old electronics products

If you have an old product lying around that you no longer need, you can take the product down to Elgiganten. Then we ensure that the product is recycled correctly. If the product still works and is in proper condition, we can offer to buy your product so that you get a discount equal to the value of your old product when you buy a new product. We call this Buy Back. If the product is in bad condition and no longer is in a shape to fixed, the department store accepts your old product, so together we ensure that the product is properly disposed of.
